As in 2022, ZZ Top will include longtime guitar tech Elwood Francis alongside founding guitarist Billy F. Having each lost original members over the years-including ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill, who passed away in 2021, and Lynyrd Skynyrd founding guitarist Gary Rossington, who died in 2023-both bands will feature updated touring lineups. The tour will resume in the summer with a concert at Mount Pleasant, MI’s Soaring Eagle Casino & Resort on August 8th and run through September 22nd, when the bands will finish things off with an amphitheater show in Ridgefield, WA. The 2024 ZZ Top/Lynyrd Skynyrd tour will begin in Savannah, GA on March 8th and keep the two bands on the road throughout the next two months through a show at Corpus Christi, TX’s American Bank Center on April 20th. The new dates will feature support from Black Stone Cherry and Outlaws at select dates.
Following a successful joint outing this summer, ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd have announced a new summer 2024 leg of their co-headlining The Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour.
